The Natural Family Health Care Center of the Shoreline is a private practice facility designed to serve the health care needs of families living in this community and nationwide.  Our services are available to all ages and considered to be within the scope of general practice with specialization in chiropractic, nutrition, natural medicine, preventive medicine and wellness health care. 

Dr. Chistopher Z. Lachowski is duly licensed as a chiropractic physician, ID# CT714, board certified in clinical nutrition and occupational health, and certified in acupuncture, clinical nutrition, ergonomics and physical medicine. 

Our goal is to serve the health care needs of families in the community who are experiencing pain conditions to effectively manage their condition, introduce concepts of wholisitic natural medicine and educate in areas of wellness and optimal health.

The initial consultation appointment is a 15 minute brief introductory visit with the doctor to answer your questions about our office services and to determine if the state of your health condition can be aided by office treatments.     

The scope of care that is offered by our office is non-pharmacological and non-surgical.  That is to say all of our treatment methods are natural in approach so, we do not prescribe pharmaceutical medications or provide surgical procedures.  Our ability to help your condition depends on the state of your health and illness.  Natural methods of treatment carry a greater chance of success when identified early and of mild pathologic illness.  A more severe state of illness and long term chronic illness does many times require advanced medical treatment and our efforts need to be closely coordinated with any medical treatment you are presently receiving.  Questions involving use of any pharmaceutical medications must be directed to the physician who prescribed them and your pharmacist.  We do not provide counseling on the continuation or discontinuation of any pharmaceutical medications.

Our natural treatment approach falls into the realm of addressing structural spinal neuro-muscular dysfunctions or injuries which cause pain and functional disturbances in your system that is not due to a disease condition.  Even though we work with many individuals who may have a chronic illness or disease the treatments provided at this office are not designed or intended to replace any necessary advanced medical procedures or treatments, treat a disease condition, but intended to solely provide functional support of the body systems.

As a licensed chiropractic physician in the state of CT, we are required to render an impression, opinion and diagnosis of the state of your health condition, injury or illness.  This thus requires it necessary to perform an initial evaluation or examination before any treatment or counseling services are provided.  This is required for any services to be applied for insurance reimbursement.  In certain cases where no symptoms prevail and general preventive health issues like weight management, stress and nutritional counseling services are desired, many times do not qualify for insurance reimbursement as a medical health problem does not exist that is of a medical necessity or urgency.

APPOINTMENT POLICY:
We require all initial in-person or telephone consultations and office visits to be scheduled by appointment.  If you cannot make a previously scheduled appointment, we would appreciate at least a 24 hour advanced notification of cancellation of the appointment.  We reserve the right to charge a fee for a missed appointment time if we do not hear any correspondence from you.
